Hi everyone! We’ve been very busy in July…time to catch you all up 🙂
This was a Friday afternoon hike we did at Ramat Hanadiv, a nature reserve about a 10 minute drive from our house. We hiked up a very rocky road and at the top we found some ruins and water tunnels with flowing water.
Here we climbed down under the grates and ducked through the narrow water tunnels.
Abba held onto Yemima’s hat with his head.
I saw a cool blog that showed how to make simple but really fun watermelon popsicles. It’s Yemima’s new favorite treat on these hot summer days. We also like freezing grapes lately. This health nut mom is always game for refined sugar free treats 😉
One random morning it began to rain! It rarely rains here in the summer, so Yemima was really excited to watch the rain first thing in the morning.
Popsicle stick boxes 🙂
We got a visit from savta AND doda Daniella. Daniella will be spending a few weeks with us in August to watch Yemima while we work. Yemima’s gan ends at the end of July, so in August it’s camp Daniella 🙂
Many of you know Avi, my best friend from Philly, and we were lucky enough to have her here for a few weeks off and on this summer. Of course she brought lots of fun things like purple nail polish, fake tattoos, and maybe some new clothes for mommy 😉 It’s been so much fun to have such a close friend come visit in our new home.
This is when we drove up to the Hotel at Kibbutz Lavi to meet Emily’s boyfriends parents (Nina’s niece), who booked a tour through our company and were kind enough to bring a few small things for Yoel and Yemima!
The neighbor gave Yemima the biggest piece of watermelon she had ever seen.
This is Hillel, one of our neighbors who shares a porch with us. He and Yemima had a rocky start the first year when Yemima mostly found it annoying that he took all of her things and made messes, but now that he is 2, and now that she speaks very good Hebrew they play sweetly together. Most of the time. 🙂
This is our office! It’s a studio next to our boss’s house. This is also my husband matching my outfit, which is one of his favorite things to do.
One short trip on a weeknight to the beach in Caesarea.
This girl LOVES to sing. She sings constantly. Mostly songs from gan or Shabbat dinner.
Mommy/daughter afternoon treat at Golda, (as in Golda Meir) an ice cream and frozen yogurt place. They have really yummy plain frozen yogurt with lots of toppings.
Yemima got her first bee sting! She was very brave and thankfully didn’t cry for too long. We put a little raw honey on it and it really seemed to help. Although so did the three popsicles from the neighbor. 🙂
We camped on the beach Thursday night with Avi and Yoel’s friend Arkadiy. First beach camping for Yemima!
That’s our princess spitting out food.
Yemima sporting one of the cool tattoos Avi brought, waiting for the hot dogs to be ready.
It’s been really hot this week, so we’ve done some extra hanging in the AC. Yesterday we built a fort and made necklaces.
Mama and her cutie girl.
And lastly…we’ve got pigtails! We discovered that if we braid at night it straightens out her hair for longer pigtails. This girl is so excited about her growing hair.
